- Set the freezer to 0°F and give it a few hours to recover.
- Don't overpack the vents inside: cold air needs room to move.

Freezer repair questions
My freezer has frost on the back wall. Is that normal?
Not in a frost-free freezer. Frost on the back panel usually means the defrost system has stopped working, and it will keep getting worse until airflow is blocked. Book a visit before it stops cooling completely.
How long will food last if my freezer stops?
The USDA says a full freezer holds its temperature for about 48 hours, and a half-full freezer for about 24 hours, if you keep the door closed. Call us as soon as you notice the problem.
